Pics and process of the room, Day 1 <-> Day 2
The “Before” pic (after some things were taken out).
Some cleaning and moved away from the wall
Measurements on the wall.
The frame of the screen is 90” x 51” and I’ve marked it (mostly) centered on that wall with the top edge about 12” down (noticeably higher on this wall than where it is currently at in my living room).
The nightstands that I’m keeping in there, to use as a base/elevation for a DVD rack (on each side) are about 1” too wide to fit between the edge of the wall and the sides of the screen. I’ll need to rotate them 90 degrees and have the drawers opening “inward.”
I’ll be able to do that because I won’t have them flush against the wall with the screen, but an inch or two pulled out. The future DVD rack (which will have an ATMOS elevation speaker on top of it - on each side of the screen) will still be able to sit flush against that wall regardless, and the drawers will be able to open w/o obstructing anything. I’m also going to need to have my left/right tower speakers sitting on that since the room’s dimensions are just that tight.
It should be interesting.
